CoreWeave rallies after Leidos deal targeting classified federal AI work

CoreWeave said its AI-native cloud will be integrated with Leidos to support defense, intelligence, and national security applications across classified environments.

CoreWeave shares rose on July 30 after the company announced a partnership with Leidos to deliver secure, specialized AI cloud infrastructure for U.S. federal agencies. According to Yahoo Finance, the collaboration is aimed at defense, intelligence, and national security use cases inside classified government environments.

The companies said the effort will combine CoreWeave Federal's AI-native cloud platform with Leidos' integration expertise to provide what they described as sovereign AI capabilities. The offering set includes classified cloud solutions, cyber artificial intelligence ranges, synthetic data modeling, and edge-to-cloud AI orchestration.

Yahoo Finance also framed the Leidos news as a strategic catalyst for CoreWeave Federal, citing potential multi year government contract opportunities and the idea of building more resilient revenue tied to federal demand for secure, scalable AI compute.

After the rally, the stock was described as challenging its 20 day moving average, with a break above $78 expected to support near term momentum. Financially, CoreWeave was described as broadly expected to more than double year over year revenue to $2.55 billion in the second quarter, with earnings scheduled for Aug. 11.
