Seagate tops Q4 expectations and lifts guidance on cloud storage demand
Seagate reported $3.63 billion in Q4 revenue, up 49% year over year, with data-center sales rising 57% to $2.9 billion.
Seagate Technology shares rose after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter results for the period ended July 28. According to Yahoo Finance, revenue and earnings came in above consensus, and Seagate delivered on its guidance.
Seagate posted $3.63 billion in quarterly revenue, up 49% year over year. The company reported a 52.7% gross margin, which crossed the 50% threshold, compared with a non-GAAP gross margin of 37.9% in fiscal Q4 2025.
The update highlighted ongoing momentum from cloud data-center demand, which Seagate cited as its primary growth driver. Data-center revenue grew 57% year over year to $2.9 billion and accounted for about 80% of total revenue, underscoring the segment’s weight in the business.
Yahoo Finance also noted that the results reinforced Seagate’s continued improvement in profitability, including 13 consecutive quarters of gross margin expansion, as the company maintains a strong position in the mass-capacity storage market. Shares were reported up 211% year to date as of August 2, 2026, with a listed dividend yield of 0.35%.
