US manufacturing growth accelerated in July as AI demand rose
The expansion came alongside reports of ongoing supply shortages and higher inflation pressures that could limit momentum, according to MarketWatch.
American manufacturing activity grew in July at the fastest pace in more than four years, MarketWatch reported.
The outlet attributed the improvement to the payoff from a major artificial intelligence boom.
MarketWatch also said the gains were tempered by pandemic-era-like supply shortages and higher inflation, suggesting headwinds even as production accelerated.
