Bessent defends Warsh, saying markets need detox from Fed guidance
MarketWatch reports that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent defended Kevin Warsh as part of the administration discussion around interest-rate policy.
Bessent argued that financial markets are going through a kind of “detox” from what he characterized as too much Fed guidance, and he questioned the need for an interest-rate hike, according to MarketWatch.
