Larry Ellison collected an estimated $579 million Oracle dividend check
Oracle’s quarterly dividend payment was $0.50 per share, and annualized at the forward $2.00 rate it implies roughly $2.3 billion in dividend income for Ellison’s stake.
Yahoo Finance reports that Larry Ellison, Oracle’s chairman and co-founder, received an estimated $579 million in dividend income from his stake in the company for a recent quarterly payout.
The outlet ties the figure to Ellison’s roughly 40.6% ownership of Oracle, or about 1.158 billion shares based on his most recent disclosed SEC filings. Applied to Oracle’s $0.50-per-share dividend declared in June 2026 and paid to holders of record, the stake implies the quarterly amount.
Annualizing Oracle’s forward dividend rate of $2.00 per share yields an estimated $2.3 billion per year for Ellison in dividend income. Yahoo Finance also notes Oracle has raised its dividend for 12 straight years, even after the stock fell 55% from its 2025 peak.
For perspective, the article calculates that a $100,000 investment in Oracle, based on the stock closing at $145.74 on August 4, 2026, would buy about 686.3 shares. At the current dividend rate, that position would earn roughly $343 per quarter, or about $1,373 annually.
