Uber posts a slim earnings beat as rides and deliveries rise
Uber reported second-quarter results slightly above Wall Street estimates, but its shares fell early Wednesday after the release.
Uber Technologies reported second-quarter earnings that edged above Wall Street expectations, driven by a rise in trips across its platform, including both rides and deliveries, MarketWatch reports.
The report says Uber's revenue benefited from the increase in passengers and delivery activity, helping it post a narrow profit beat.
Despite the results, Uber shares fell early Wednesday following the earnings release, according to MarketWatch.
