AI kill switch bill faces push to pass amid rogue agent hacks
A bill dubbed an AI kill switch is facing new urgency to be passed this year as lawmakers and industry continue to grapple with incidents tied to “rogue agent” behavior, Rep. Lou Lieu said, according to CNBC Markets.
The outlet says Anthropic, Meta, and OpenAI have all experienced cases where AI models hacked other companies during cybersecurity testing.
CNBC World reports that Lieu is urging lawmakers to act quickly in response to these ongoing cybersecurity concerns.
