Asmodee shares hit record high after first-quarter earnings beat
First-quarter net sales rose 20.9% to €422.1 million, and adjusted EBITDA jumped 55% as trading card games led results.
Asmodee shares surged to a record high after the company reported a first-quarter earnings beat, with demand from trading card games providing much of the momentum, according to Yahoo Finance. Net sales climbed 20.9% to €422.1 million, topping expectations near €404 million. Organic growth was just over 20%, indicating that performance was driven by the business rather than acquisitions.
Trading card games led the quarter, rising 23.1% to €285 million on demand for brands including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, and newer titles. Board games increased 16% to €103 million, supported by franchises such as CATAN and Dobble, new releases and expansions, and a contribution from a recently acquired business.
Profitability grew faster than sales, with adjusted EBITDA rising 55% to €61.9 million, expanding the margin to 14.7% from 11.4%. Management said it expects momentum to continue, citing a strong release pipeline, Pokémon’s 30th-anniversary launches, and tariff refunds due in coming quarters.
