EIH shares fall 6% after June quarter profit declines sequentially

EIH posted consolidated net profit of ₹120.3 crore, up more than threefold year over year but down 52% quarter over quarter, while revenue from operations fell 26.6% sequentially.

EIH shares dropped 6% to ₹307 in Friday trade after the company reported its Q1FY27 financial results for the June-ending quarter, which showed strong year over year growth but weaker sequential performance. According to LiveMint Markets, EIH’s consolidated net profit rose to ₹120.3 crore from ₹36.9 crore a year earlier, but declined 52% quarter on quarter from ₹249.1 crore. Revenue from operations increased 14.5% year over year to ₹657 crore, while falling 26.6% quarter on quarter from ₹895 crore as seasonal softness weighed on results. At the operating level, EBITDA rose 6% year over year to ₹167 crore but fell 24% sequentially from ₹334 crore. EBITDA margin contracted to 25.4%, down from 28.4% a year earlier and 37.4% in the prior March quarter.

EIH also said it is strengthening its development pipeline by signing management agreements for six new luxury hotels, including The Oberoi properties in Kabini, Hampi, and Coorg, plus Trident locations in Amritsar and Pavana, and The Oberoi Cairo in Egypt. The company said these additions support its goal to significantly expand its portfolio by 2030.
