Eli Lilly revenue jumps 48% as it raises full-year outlook
Mounjaro revenue rose 91% to $9.9 billion and Zepbound climbed 46% to $4.9 billion, while realized prices fell 13% company-wide.
Eli Lilly (LLY) reported second-quarter revenue of $23.0 billion on August 5, up 48% year over year, and followed the results by lifting its full-year revenue and profit targets, according to Yahoo Finance.
Mounjaro revenue surged 91% to $9.9 billion and Zepbound rose 46% to $4.9 billion. US sales increased 33% to $14.4 billion, international sales grew 80% to $8.6 billion, and Lilly said its immunology, oncology, and neuroscience products combined grew 121%.
Lilly raised its full-year revenue guidance to a range of $85 billion to $87 billion, up from $82 billion to $85 billion previously. The company also pointed to continued pipeline progress, noting positive readouts from three Phase 3 trials of its experimental triple agonist retatrutide, supporting a planned obesity application submission in the first quarter of 2027.
The quarter also highlighted trade-offs tied to growth. Realized prices fell 13% company-wide, with international pricing down 36% largely because Mounjaro was added to China’s national reimbursement drug list, and acquired R&D charges rose to $2.8 billion from $154 million a year earlier, helping limit reported EPS growth to 26% even as non-GAAP EPS increased 33%.
