Jim Cramer says he would own SoFi despite its $16 to $19 range

Cramer cited SoFi's long-term outlook as the stock digests earlier expansion, even as the company posted a second-quarter beat and raised full-year 2026 adjusted net revenue guidance.

Yahoo Finance reports that during CNBC's Mad Money on August 5, a caller asked Jim Cramer about SoFi Technologies being stuck in a roughly $16 to $19 trading band over the past six months and whether he still sees upside.

Cramer said SoFi is “good” and that he would own the stock, adding that he urged investors to “take your time” as fintech names regroup and interest shifts back toward larger, established banks and lenders.

The article notes the range-bound pattern reflects a digestion period after prior expansion waves, and it points to SoFi's strong second-quarter 2026 results. Non-GAAP earnings per share came in at $0.12, adjusted net revenue rose 40.0% year over year to $1.21 billion, and total loan originations reached a record $14.8 billion.

Yahoo Finance also says SoFi grew membership 35.0% year over year to a record 15.8 million and increased total products 42.0% to 24.4 million, and that management raised its full-year 2026 adjusted net revenue guidance to $4.75 billion to $4.85 billion, above the $4.70 billion consensus estimate.
