Hysan Development profit rises 7.4% on Bamboo Grove unit gains
The Hong Kong landlord reported underlying profit of HK$1.11 billion for the first half of 2026 and declared a first interim dividend of 27 HK cents per share, unchanged year on year.
Hysan Development, the largest commercial landlord in Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay shopping district, reported underlying profit of HK$1.11 billion (US$140.19 million) for the first half of 2026, up 7.4% from a year earlier.
The increase was driven by a realised gain from the sale of residential units at its Bamboo Grove project, while total revenue for the six months ended June 30 was largely flat at HK$1.73 billion, down 0.1% year on year.
Segment results showed retail revenue rose 1.4% and office revenue grew 0.5%, while residential sales fell 15.3%. The company said the decline reflected fewer units available for lease after it disposed of two blocks at Bamboo Grove in the Mid-Levels.
Hysan Development’s board declared a first interim dividend of 27 HK cents per share, unchanged from the prior year period, and chairwoman Irene Lee Yun-lien said the progress in the first half highlights the relevance of its community business model, according to the earnings statement.
