Lenskart shares hit record high after Q1 profit nearly quadruples
In Q1 FY27, Lenskart grew revenue 43.3% year over year to ₹2,714.18 crore, and added 132 net stores, lifting its total to 3,459.
Lenskart Solutions shares rose 7% to a fresh all time high of ₹627 on August 13 after the Indian eyewear retailer reported a near four fold jump in quarterly profit. The company said net profit for Q1 FY27 came in at ₹228 crore, up 273% from ₹61 crore in the same period a year earlier, supported by sustained demand for its prescription eyewear, according to LiveMint Markets.
Revenue from operations increased 43.3% year over year to ₹2,714.18 crore from ₹1,894.46 crore in Q1 FY26. Domestic revenue grew 30.7% year over year to ₹1,531 crore, while international revenue rose 38% to ₹1,203 crore.
Lenskart also reported volume growth of around 23% year over year to 8.2 million units in India, with implied average selling price up about 6% year over year to ₹1,856. International volumes grew 37% year over year to 2.3 million, while implied ASP was flat year over year at ₹5,278, with the company pointing to a higher contribution from sunglasses.
Along with the results, the board approved raising its equity stake in its Chinese frame manufacturing joint venture, Baofeng Framekart Technology Ltd, from 51% to 70%, valuing the additional stake at about RMB 7.5 million, or approximately ₹10.6 crore. Following the earnings, Motilal Oswal reiterated a Buy rating and lifted its target price to ₹705, while raising product margin assumptions for FY27 and FY28.
