The company projects enterprise data-center flash demand could reach 1.2 zettabytes by 2030 and outlined a FY2028 to FY2030 margin and cash-flow framework.
Sandisk shares surged about 15% after its 2026 Investor Day, where management presented a long-term growth case tied to AI and provided an aggressive financial framework for FY2028 through FY2030, according to Forexlive.
The company said AI inference is expected to increase demand for flash storage in data centers, projecting the enterprise data-center flash market could reach 1.2 zettabytes by 2030. Sandisk also discussed work on higher-density NAND and High Bandwidth Flash technology to capture that growth.
On revenue visibility, Sandisk said it is moving toward longer-term customer agreements, with coverage already covering about 50% of expected FY2027 bits and roughly two-thirds of FY2028 bits. It also targeted a model that includes mid-to-high teens growth, 75% operating margins, and 50% free-cash-flow margins over FY2028 to FY2030, alongside a commitment to return excess cash.
From a market perspective, the stock broke above key technical levels and moved back above its 100-day moving average at $1,389.04, after trading below it on three separate occasions since July 24. The next technical area highlighted is around $1,679.08, described as a 50% retracement of the decline from the June 22 all-time high.
