Bharat Dynamics profit jumps sixfold in Q1FY27
Q1FY27 revenue from operations rose to ₹572.2 crore, and EBITDA turned positive at ₹83.1 crore versus an EBITDA loss a year earlier.
Bharat Dynamics (BDL) reported a more than sixfold, or 547.4% year-on-year, jump in Q1FY27 profit to ₹118.79 crore, according to LiveMint Markets.
In the quarter, BDL’s total revenue from operations more than doubled, rising 131% year-on-year to ₹572.24 crore. Profit increased 5% sequentially from ₹113.18 crore in Q4FY26, while revenue grew 19.2% quarter-on-quarter from ₹480.20 crore.
EBITDA turned positive at ₹83.1 crore in Q1FY27 compared with an EBITDA loss of ₹45.4 crore in Q1FY26, with an EBITDA margin of 14.5% versus negative 18.3% a year earlier.
BDL’s total comprehensive income also climbed, up 428.3% year-on-year and 4.6% quarter-on-quarter to ₹117.08 crore. The shares were down 5.5% year-to-date, while BDL previously hit a 52-week low of ₹1,090 on March 30 and a 52-week high of ₹1,655.25 on September 22 last year.
