Kalshi ordered to stop most prediction-market bets in Washington
A Washington state judge has issued a preliminary injunction requiring Kalshi to cease most of its prediction market operations in the state, blocking residents from placing bets on the bulk of its listed offerings. The ruling came in response to the state court action, with the judge ordering the market maker to stop those activities while the case proceeds. The New York Times Business reports the decision significantly narrows which Kalshi products can operate in Washington during the injunction period.
