Applied Industrial Technologies posts 10% organic sales growth in Q4 2026

The company said the Engineered Solutions segment drove the gain, with organic growth of 13% led by a 20% jump in automation adoption.

Applied Industrial Technologies reported 10% organic sales growth in Q4 2026, the strongest performance in more than three years, driven by a recovery in technical MRO and renewed capital spending activity, according to a Yahoo Finance earnings call summary.

The Engineered Solutions segment led results with 13% organic growth, supported by a 20% increase in automation as customers accelerated adoption of robotics and vision systems. The Service Center segment grew 8% organically, with management attributing the improvement to broader break-fix activity and internal sales initiatives, the summary said.

Management also highlighted profitability gains linked to the integration of Hydrodyne, which it said delivered double-digit sales growth and expanded EBITDA margins by more than 200 basis points in the second half of the year. It added that technology verticals now account for more than 15% of Engineered Solutions, benefiting from semiconductor wafer fab equipment demand and new data center infrastructure business.

Looking ahead, the company said fiscal 2027 guidance assumes a strong first half supported by current momentum, then a more prudent second half due to difficult comparisons and geopolitical uncertainty. Management increased intermediate five-year targets to $7 billion in sales and a 14% EBITDA margin, and it cited nearly $2 billion in balance sheet capacity to prioritize M&A aimed at enhancing technical scale in automation and fluid power.
