AbbVie lifts 2026 neuroscience revenue outlook to about $12.7 billion
Management raised its 2026 neuroscience guidance by $100 million after a strong first half of the year.
AbbVie is increasingly banking on its neuroscience portfolio, with management now expecting the segment to generate approximately $12.7 billion in revenue during 2026. The company said that guidance was increased by another $100 million following strong performance in the first half of the year, according to Yahoo Finance.
The neuroscience portfolio generated $10.8 billion last year and is growing at a double-digit pace, the outlet added. In the second quarter, neuroscience revenue rose 20.3% year over year to $3.23 billion.
AbbVie’s neuroscience results included $1.07 billion from Vraylar, $1.04 billion from therapeutic Botox, and a combined $742 million from migraine drugs Ubrelvy and Qulipta. Parkinson’s disease therapy Vyalev contributed $256 million in the quarter.
The fastest-growing part of the neuroscience business was migraine, with combined sales up 22.6% year over year as Ubrelvy and Qulipta continued gaining traction with physicians for both acute migraine and prevention, Yahoo Finance reported. The outlet also noted therapeutic Botox’s breadth of neurologic indications beyond cosmetic use.
