Heartflow shares surge 46% as revenue growth lifts full-year outlook

Heartflow raised its full-year revenue view to 40% to 42% growth, targeting $246 million to $250 million, after Q2 sales rose to $64.1 million.

Heartflow Inc. (NASDAQ:HTFL) rallied 46% week-on-week, becoming one of last week’s top stock gainers, after the company pointed to stronger revenue momentum that it says supports a higher full-year growth outlook, according to Yahoo Finance.

In its second-quarter update, Heartflow reported revenue growth of 48% to $64.08 million from $43.2 million a year earlier, driven by US Fractional Flow Reserve revenue volume growth and higher total US Plaque revenue case volume. The company also widened its net loss by 70.6% to $15.7 million from $9.2 million, citing higher losses before income taxes.

For the first half of the year, revenue increased 45% to $116.67 million from $80.63 million, while net loss ticked up 3.6% to $43.1 million from $41.5 million a year earlier. Heartflow’s full-year revenue guidance now calls for 40% to 42% growth to a range of $246 million to $250 million, up from prior expectations for 29% to 32% growth to $228 million to $232 million.

The company attributed the outlook to what it described as its AI technology platform and category strength, saying the CCTA market for detecting coronary artery disease continues to grow rapidly and remains under-penetrated. Heartflow also emphasized that its FFR business remains strong and that Plaque is emerging as a second growth engine, while record gross margin and improving operating leverage support its confidence in long-term profitability.
