Ship attacked in Hormuz Strait as U.S.-Iran ceasefire nears expiry
The attack damaged a vessel's engine room and injured or killed a crew member, while the Omani Coast Guard assisted the remaining crew, according to UKMTO.
A ship was attacked in the Hormuz Strait, with the UK Maritime Trade Operations office, UKMTO, reporting damage to the engine room and a crew casualty.
UKMTO said the remaining crew were being assisted by the Omani Coast Guard.
The incident comes as a U.S.-Iran ceasefire is set to expire, raising the risk of a prolonged conflict, CNBC Markets and CNBC World reported.
