Greenhaven Road Capital highlights Lifecore’s excess capacity thesis

The investor letter cited about 11% net return in Q2 2026 and said Lifecore has added seven new customers in the past nine months.

Greenhaven Road Capital, an investment management firm, said in its Q2 2026 investor letter that its fund delivered an approximate 11% net return during the quarter, adding that it plans to lower portfolio concentration while increasing positions with near-term catalysts and using a proactive approach to profit-taking, according to Yahoo Finance.

In the letter, the firm highlighted Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. (NASDAQ: LFCR), describing the company as an integrated contract development and manufacturing organization focused on aseptic fill and finish for sterile injectable pharmaceutical and medical device products.

Yahoo Finance reported that Lifecore closed on August 14, 2026 at $4.72 per share, valuing the company at $178.67 million, and that its shares were down 38.78% over the past 52 weeks, while posting a one-month return of -3.41%.

Greenhaven Road Capital’s thesis, as outlined in the letter, is that Lifecore can monetize excess manufacturing capacity, pointing to seven new customers added over the past nine months and describing the contract win dynamics as influenced by lengthy FDA approval processes that delay revenue recognition.
