Quanta Services highlighted as AI power demand beneficiary
Bernstein analyst Chad Dillard said the key AI bottlenecks are power and labor, pointing to high-voltage transmission as data centers raise voltage levels.
Quanta Services is being spotlighted as an “AI play in disguise” tied to the buildout needed for growing AI-related electricity demand, according to commentary flagged by Yahoo Finance.
Chad Dillard of Bernstein, speaking on CNBC, described Quanta as an “800-pound gorilla” in high-voltage transmission lines and said improving power involves raising voltage, particularly for data centers.
The coverage said Quanta is positioned to benefit because it builds power lines, substations, and grid infrastructure as utilities expand and upgrade the network.
Yahoo Finance also noted that Quanta reported about 40% year-over-year revenue growth in the recent quarter, raised full-year guidance for revenue, earnings per share, and cash flow, and expects recent acquisitions, including Phalcon, Enerfab, Percheron, and PSD, to add roughly 3% to 4% to 2026 revenue.
