Voya MI Dynamic Small Cap Fund highlights Bloom Energy in Q2 2026
Bloom Energy accounted for 2.3% of the fund’s portfolio, contributing to performance during the quarter as shares gained sharply over the past year.
Voya Investment Management said its Voya MI Dynamic Small Cap Fund rebounded in the second quarter of 2026, helped by stock selection across energy, consumer discretionary, and health care sectors, according to the firm’s Q2 2026 investor letter, reviewed by Yahoo Finance.
The letter highlighted Bloom Energy Corporation, an energy company that designs and manufactures solid-oxide fuel cell systems for clean, reliable on-site power generation. Bloom Energy represented 2.3% of the fund’s portfolio and contributed to fund performance during the quarter.
Bloom Energy also served a portfolio role tied to factor balancing, with Voya pointing to an overweight position driven by risk management considerations. The company’s stock closed at $229.94 per share on August 14, 2026, and showed a 1-month return of 16.7%, with shares up 394.5% over the past 52 weeks.
Yahoo Finance also noted that Voya linked Bloom’s stock rise to investor focus on the company’s role in AI data center power solutions, supported by what the letter described as strong earnings and expanded partnerships with Oracle and Brookfield. The fund letter suggested that reviewing the fund’s top five holdings could help identify its best picks for 2026.
