Walmart raises full-year outlook as tariff refund boosts expectations
Walmart is expected to report its fiscal second-quarter earnings on Thursday, giving investors a fresh read on consumer demand and the uneven strength of the economy, CNBC Markets reports.
Ahead of the release, Walmart has raised its full-year outlook and is also set to receive a large tariff refund, according to CNBC World and CNBC Earnings.
Despite the improved outlook and the tariff-related benefit, the shares have reportedly fallen on concerns about sales performance.
The upcoming quarter is expected to provide additional detail on how customers are responding across Walmart’s business as the company works through a divided economic backdrop.
