Nvidia set for Q2 earnings after Meta trial resumes in Oakland
Nvidia is expected to report adjusted EPS of $2.09 on revenue of $92 billion, while Meta faces claims tied to alleged harm to children, with regulators seeking damages.
Tech stocks remain in focus as Nvidia prepares to report second quarter earnings after the close on Wednesday, with Wall Street awaiting details long associated with the AI trade. Ahead of the release, Nvidia is expected to deliver adjusted earnings per share of $2.09 on revenue of $92 billion, according to Bloomberg analyst consensus estimates cited by Yahoo Finance.
That outlook would imply a 96.0% year over year jump in revenue, with analysts also expecting continued quarter over quarter acceleration. Nvidia’s results come after major Big Tech peers reported their quarters earlier.
Meanwhile, Meta’s social media addiction trial resumes in Oakland, California, after a Thursday hearing was postponed due to a sick juror. The case involves 29 state attorneys general accusing Meta of developing its services to keep children online longer, which they say caused psychological harm, and it is described as a test case for a larger lawsuit.
Meta has said the trial could expose it to as much as $1.4 trillion in damages, a figure that state attorneys general dispute, according to the report.
