Oracle revenue and cloud growth surge as AI contracts lift RPO
Oracle’s remaining performance obligations jumped 363% year over year to $638 billion, with most of the increase tied to large-scale AI contracts.
Oracle’s fiscal fourth-quarter results showed broad growth as the company continued to benefit from the AI boom, according to Yahoo Finance. For the quarter ended in May, revenue rose 21% year over year to $19.2 billion, and adjusted earnings per share increased 24% to $2.11.
Cloud momentum also accelerated, with Oracle reporting total cloud revenue up 47% year over year to $9.9 billion. The company attributed a major portion of the RPO increase to large-scale AI contracts, and said its remaining performance obligations climbed 363% year over year to $638 billion.
The article also noted Oracle’s forward price-earnings ratio of 22.6x as being relatively low. It further cited Paul Tudor Jones-controlled Tudor Investment Corp. buying 1.3 million shares of ORCL in Q2, and said Mizuho reiterated an Outperform rating with a $320 price target in June.
