Pfizer posts modest revenue growth and raises full-year guidance
Pfizer said its quarterly revenue excluding Comirnaty and Paxlovid grew 5% operationally, and it cut its 2026 COVID-19 revenue estimate to about $4.0 billion.
Pfizer reported fiscal Q2 2026 revenue of $15.0 billion, a 1.0% year-over-year operational increase, while revenue excluding Comirnaty and Paxlovid rose 5.0% operationally, according to Yahoo Finance. Management also raised the midpoint of its full-year revenue guidance, signaling growing confidence in its turnaround after a decline in pandemic-related sales. The company noted that its non-COVID product portfolio helped lift results, with launched and acquired medicines generating $3.2 billion in quarterly revenue and growing 18.0% operationally. Pfizer said it expects approximately $4.0 billion in 2026 COVID-19 revenue, mainly reflecting weaker Paxlovid demand. It also highlighted growth momentum in parts of its newer portfolio, including Padcev, which rose 23.0% operationally to $667 million, and Vyndaqel, which generated $1.76 billion and grew 8.0% operationally. On costs, Pfizer expanded its cost-savings target and remains on track for about $5.7 billion in net savings by the end of 2026, with $6.7 billion in total net savings from cost reductions through 2029. The company framed the effort as a way to offset upcoming patent expirations and support investment areas such as oncology and obesity, even if revenue growth stays moderate.
