Nvidia set for key earnings as AI chip demand stays in focus

The AI chipmaker’s results come after a volatile stretch for the stock, including a pullback following its last three quarterly reports.

Nvidia is due to post its second-quarter results on Wednesday, with investors looking for fresh signs on demand after the stock slid in the wake of its previous three quarterly reports, according to Yahoo Finance.

The company’s recent activity adds to the focus, including CEO Jensen Huang announcing a new chip designed to run on-device AI agents, progress on efforts to sell chips in China, and deals aimed at supporting financing for AI data center buildouts, the outlet said.

Yahoo Finance also pointed to Nvidia’s prior-quarter performance, noting that it beat expectations and raised its outlook, with Huang saying demand “has gone parabolic” as companies ramp up AI infrastructure. Revenue rose 85% year over year, and data center sales nearly doubled.

The week’s broader earnings calendar includes results from software firms such as CrowdStrike, Intuit, and Salesforce, alongside discount stores, beauty retailers, and apparel companies including Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Kohl’s, Yahoo Finance said. Separately, the outlet cited a sharp move in the 30-year Treasury yield to levels not seen since 2007 amid concerns about inflation and government debt.
