Orbis Global Equity Strategy highlights Brown & Brown in Q2 letter
The fund said its Global Equity Strategy gained 19.9% in the first half of 2026, ahead of the MSCI All Country World Index.
Orbis Investment Management released its Q2 2026 investor letter for its Orbis Global Equity Strategy, describing strong performance amid what it called narrow market breadth. The strategy returned 19.9% in the first half of 2026, outperforming the MSCI All Country World Index by 7.8%, according to the letter.
The firm said it frames its AI exposure across four groups: Core, Enablers, AI Powered, and Overlooked, with Core representing direct exposure and Enablers representing supporting businesses. Orbis also emphasized disciplined, evidence based decision making and maintaining flexible convictions in a fluctuating market.
In the same letter, Orbis highlighted Brown & Brown, Inc. (NYSE:BRO), an insurance brokerage firm that operates through Retail and Specialty Distribution segments. Orbis cited Brown & Brown and Ryan Specialty as brokers that match clients to coverage and place it with insurers, positioning insurance brokerage within its AI-related framework.
Yahoo Finance also noted Brown & Brown’s recent trading context, including a close of $74.62 per share on August 24, 2026, a market capitalization of $24.97 billion, and a 52 week decline of 22.31%.
