Optiver hires Alexis Le Montagner as global strategy manager
The hire follows Le Montagner’s 20-month stint at Airwallex, where he helped expand the fintech into France and Israel.
Amsterdam-based electronic trading firm Optiver has hired Alexis Le Montagner as a global strategy manager in London, according to Hedgeweek, citing an eFinancial Careers report.
Le Montagner joined Optiver this month after about 20 months at fintech Airwallex, where he served as chief of staff to the chief executive and helped lead expansion into France and Israel.
Before Airwallex, he spent two years at hedge fund Eisler Capital working on international growth strategy, including roles in London, Paris, and efforts to establish presence in new jurisdictions such as Dubai, Jersey, and Malta, with a Paris team built to six portfolio managers.
His earlier experience includes about a decade as a derivatives trader at Commerzbank and an MBA after time at Boston Consulting Group, and Hedgeweek said it is unclear whether the Optiver role will include a similar expansion remit.
