Lego revenue jumps 21% in first half as new products hit
In the first half, pre-tax profit rose about a third to roughly $1.77 billion, with the company launching more than 330 new products in six months.
Lego posted record momentum in the first half of the year as new releases across sports, entertainment and licensed franchises helped lift results, according to Yahoo Finance.
The Danish toymaker said revenue rose 21% to about $6.55 billion, while pre-tax profit increased by roughly a third to about $1.77 billion, as it launched more than 330 new products over six months.
The story attributes the pace to an aggressive product pipeline, including a replica of the official FIFA World Cup trophy, buildable display models tied to K-pop Demon Hunters, and Formula 1 licensing that includes several teams with driver mini-figures.
Yahoo Finance also notes Lego’s private ownership structure, with a Kirk Kristiansen family holding company owning 75% and the Lego Foundation owning 25%, and says the company funds factories and product lines using free cash flow rather than external capital.
