Fed Chairman Warsh says inflation risk could require more work
Warsh said the Fed’s priority is bringing price growth back to its target quickly, warning that more policy action may be needed if that does not happen.
In a high profile speech, Kevin M. Warsh sought to address elevated concerns about inflation by arguing that the Federal Reserve was chiefly responsible for bringing price increases under control, according to the NYT Business.
Warsh said the central bank remains focused on returning inflation to its target quickly, adding that if prices do not move back toward that goal soon, the Fed would need to take further steps.
