Warsh comments lift rate-hike bets, pushing yields higher
Yields rose after Federal Reserve chair remarks that underscored inflation concerns, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The Wall Street Journal Markets reports that government bond yields moved higher as rate-hike expectations increased following comments from Federal Reserve chair remarks that focused on inflation.
The outlet said the shift in expectations came through in the bond market, where investors repriced the likelihood and timing of future policy moves, sending yields upward.
