Pinterest CFO Julia Donnelly to leave on Oct. 30

Pinterest said Donnelly will exit Oct. 30 and an interim finance lead will cover the role as the company targets slower Q3 revenue growth of 13% to 15%.

Pinterest said its Chief Financial Officer, Julia Donnelly, will leave the company on October 30, triggering an external search for her replacement, with Vikram Naidu serving as interim principal financial officer in the meantime, according to Yahoo Finance.

Donnelly’s departure comes about three years into her tenure and places a spotlight on whether Pinterest can sustain momentum after prior strong growth, including 11 consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth credited by CEO Bill Ready.

In the second quarter of 2026, Pinterest reported revenue of $1.18 billion, up 18% year over year, with global monthly active users rising to 640 million, an 11% increase. The United States and Canada region, its most lucrative market, saw revenue grow 18% and average revenue per user rise 14% to $8.30.

Pinterest also pointed to AI efforts, including rolling out its conversational Pinterest Assistant to most US users by the end of July, and described profitability improvement, with adjusted EBITDA at $311 million and free cash flow of $1.3 billion over the trailing twelve months. The company forecast third-quarter revenue growth of 13% to 15%, down from 18% in Q2, attributing the slowdown to timing around Prime Day, a smaller currency tailwind, and ongoing pressure from Asia-based cross-border activity.
