Global value managers seek alpha beyond heavy US concentration
The shift is driven by compressed returns and growing interest in relative value opportunities outside the US.
Hedgeweek says many global value managers are looking beyond US assets as investors face limited remaining “untouched” areas caused by heavy market concentration in the United States.
According to the outlet, managers are increasingly drawn to relative value opportunities and to potential mispricings created by that concentration, as returns become harder to generate.
Hedgeweek adds that some of these firms are targeting returns through deep, systematic stock picking rather than relying on benchmark-heavy exposure within the US market.
