Artisan Mid Cap Fund adds Entegris as wafer and memory outlook improves

Artisan Mid Cap Fund, part of investment manager Artisan Partners, highlighted Entegris, Inc. as a newly added position in its Q2 2026 investor letter, pointing to improving visibility tied to fab construction demand.
The letter also described a better backdrop for global equities in Q2 2026, when resilient economic data, strong corporate earnings, and continued AI investment helped sentiment rebound from March lows even as inflation concerns and delayed rate cuts persisted.
According to the investor letter, the fund’s portfolio generated strong absolute returns and outperformed the Russell Midcap Growth Index, with the Investor Class returning 17.86%, the Advisor Class 17.88%, and the Institutional Class 17.93% versus 14.55% for the index.
For Entegris, headquartered in Billerica, Massachusetts, the article said the shares closed at $138.74 on Sept. 4, 2026, valuing the company at $21.2 billion. It also noted a one month return of -3.79% and a 52 week gain of 68.91%, while describing Entegris as a supplier of advanced materials, specialty chemicals, and filtration systems used in semiconductor manufacturing.
