Enphase jumps on start of IQ solid-state transformer module production in Texas

Enphase said its Arlington, Texas facility is building IQ SST power modules for full-scale racks up to 5 MW, with each module rated at 4 kW.

Enphase Energy shares rose about 5% after the company began producing its IQ Solid-State Transformer power modules at its Arlington, Texas facility, saying the output supports full-scale racks that can be assembled and validated for prospective data-center customers. Yahoo Finance said SolarEdge gained around 7% as the move drew investor interest in the broader solid-state transformer theme tied to AI data center power needs.

Enphase described the modules as rated at 4 kW, with hundreds of units combined into a rack with capacity up to 5 MW. The company also said the design converts medium-voltage AC, 13.8 kV or 34.5 kV, directly to 800-volt DC and targets sub-millisecond response to the rapid load swings associated with AI training and inference workloads.

SolarEdge Technologies climbed roughly 6% to about $36.34 despite no company-specific announcement reported on the day. Enphase was up about 5% to around $38.31, extending its year to date gain to 20%, while the Invesco Solar ETF (TAN) rose about 3%.

In the broader market, Yahoo Finance reported the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) was down about 0.42% during the session, positioning solar stocks as a relative standout as the solid-state transformer news drove momentum in the sector.
