McDonald's CEO warns high inflation and flat traffic will persist
CNBC Markets reports that McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski said he expects high inflation and flat restaurant traffic to continue weighing on the restaurant industry.
Kempczinski said the impact is not likely to fade quickly, implying fewer diner visits are a longer-lasting headwind for restaurants.
The comments were framed around the current conditions of elevated prices and limited customer traffic, both of which can pressure demand.
