Twin Bridge raises up to $600M for debut private equity secondaries fund

The Chicago fund-of-funds manager held an interim close with $300M in December and expects a final close in the first half of 2027.

Twin Bridge Capital Partners is raising its first dedicated private equity secondaries fund, seeking up to $600 million for the Twin Bridge Amplify Fund, according to Yahoo Finance. The Chicago-based fund-of-funds manager held an interim close in December with $300 million from an anchor investor, and the fund is expected to reach a final close in the first half of 2027.

The Amplify fund will focus primarily on single-asset continuation fund deals, often alongside existing sponsor relationships, and will allocate a quarter of the fund to co-investments, the firm said. It will also set aside up to 20% for tactical opportunities tied to market dislocations, and is expected to make checks of around $20 million to $40 million for companies with average enterprise values of $1 billion or less, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The raise comes as secondary deal activity grows, with secondary deal volume reaching a record $121 billion in the first half of the year, and more than half coming from GP-led deals, according to Evercore as cited by Yahoo Finance. In that period, single-asset continuation funds totaled about $34 billion, accounting for 53% of total GP-led volume.

Yahoo Finance also notes that Twin Bridge is pursuing additional capital for Twin Bridge Narrow Gate Fund III, its third pool backing small buyout funds, according to a July filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company’s new secondaries vehicle adds it to a growing group of managers targeting the booming secondary-market segment.
