Madison Dearborn Partners to acquire Marygold in all-cash deal
The all-cash offer values Marygold at $2.00 per share, a 100.0% premium to its September 24, 2026 closing price, and the company will be taken private after the NYSE delists its shares.
Madison Dearborn Partners has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The Marygold Companies, Inc. (NYSE: MGLD) in an all-cash transaction, according to ETF Trends.
The deal values Marygold at $2.00 per share, representing a 100.0% premium over the company’s closing price on September 24, 2026. Upon completion, Marygold will transition to a privately held entity, and the New York Stock Exchange will delist its shares.
Marygold operates holding subsidiaries across food manufacturing, printing, and beauty products, but the transaction’s strategic focus is its financial services arm, USCF Investments.
ETF Trends says USCF manages approximately $6 billion in assets and has launched commodity-focused and thematic exchange-traded products, including the first oil ETP, the United States Oil Fund (USO), in 2006. After the acquisition closes, MDP plans to refocus Marygold primarily on scaling USCF’s core asset management business, as part of a targeted transformation strategy.
