ETF Trends said a record $1.5 trillion has already flowed into U.S.-listed ETFs in 2026 as of September, with advisors increasingly looking to S&P 500 based products.

ETF inflows are accelerating in 2026, with a record $1.5 trillion added to U.S.-listed ETFs as of September, according to ETF Trends.

With three months remaining in the year, the outlet said advisors are turning toward S&P 500 based ETFs and more, alongside growing interest in active fundamental ETF strategies.

ETF Trends also noted that mutual fund providers including Jensen Investment Management and Northern Trust have been building out their ETF lineups.

The piece further recapped that VettaFi, as an index provider for certain ETFs mentioned in the segment, had those funds rebalanced to reflect updated fundamentals, while also clarifying that VettaFi does not issue or sell the funds themselves.
