APL Apollo sales volume rebounds in Q2FY27, misses H1 growth pace
Consolidated sales volume rose 13.0% year on year to 963 kilo tonnes in the September quarter, but April to September volume growth was just 4.0% versus management’s 15.0% to 20.0% FY27 guidance.
APL Apollo Tubes Ltd said its consolidated sales volume rose 13.0% year on year to 963 kilo tonnes in the September quarter, a recovery from the 6.0% year on year decline in the prior quarter, according to a business update covered by LiveMint Markets.
LiveMint Markets reported that April to September, or H1FY27, volume growth was about 4.0%, which is well below management’s 15.0% to 20.0% FY27 guidance.
The report noted that the company’s stock was down about 3.0% after the Q2 update, and that the shortfall could raise the risk that APL Apollo lowers its growth guidance.
LiveMint Markets also cited headwinds from a steep rise in hot-rolled coil prices, which has made distributors cautious about building inventories, while profitability may depend on margins protection.
