Lawmakers urge Fed to reassess Hong Kong dollar-liquidity access

A House China committee chair, Rep. John Moolenaar, is urging the Federal Reserve to review Hong Kong’s access to a dollar-liquidity facility, according to CNBC Markets.

Moolenaar’s push comes as China promotes the renminbi as a global currency, raising questions about how Hong Kong is connected to dollar liquidity, CNBC World reports.
