Shyam Metalics sales volume jumps 26% in September quarter

Revenue rose to more than ₹ 2,000 crore, and the company outlined Vision 2031 plans to raise return on equity by 600 to 700 basis points from about 10% in FY26.

Shyam Metalics reported that consolidated sales volume rose 26% year on year to 1.5 million tonnes in its September quarter, helped by a 32% year on year volume increase in September, LiveMint Markets said.

The integrated metal producer also said revenue grew to more than ₹ 2,000 crore, with revenue rising almost 40% year on year, and it noted the quarter’s volume growth improved versus 8% year on year in the prior quarter.

Shyam Metalics added that blended realization increased by about 7% in Q2, though some of the benefit could be offset by higher coking coal prices.

Under its Vision 2031 plan, the company aims to increase return on equity by 600 to 700 basis points from around 10% in FY26, and it also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Maharashtra government to set up a 9 million tonne per annum integrated steel plant in Chandrapur with an investment of ₹ 50,000 crore, LiveMint Markets reported.
