CSU cuts Atlantic hurricane forecast to well below normal
Colorado State University cited a strengthening El Nino and revised its July 8 outlook for the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season.
Insurance Journal reports that researchers at Colorado State University lowered their Atlantic hurricane forecast to well below normal for the 2026 season.
The university attributed the change to a strengthening El Nino, according to the July 8 update.
