FEMA extends disaster assistance for Los Angeles fire survivors
More than 18,000 structures were destroyed, and 70% of affected families still do not have a place to live yet.
Mortgage News Daily says California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that FEMA approved the state’s request to extend critical disaster assistance for Los Angeles fire survivors after January 2025 fires in the Pacific Palisades area.
The outlet reports that more than 18,000 structures were destroyed, and 70% of affected families do not yet have a place to live.
