Howden Re names Thomas Fitzgerald head of global client relations
Fitzgerald, who has more than 30 years in global insurance and brokerage, joins from World Insurance Associates, where he led retail business.
Reinsurance broker Howden Re has appointed Thomas Fitzgerald as Head of Global Client Relations and Vice Chair, with responsibility for managing relationships between Howden Re clients and reinsurers.
According to Reinsurance News, Fitzgerald will focus on client engagement and market innovation, including efforts to deepen partnerships and enhance placement strategies to improve outcomes for both clients and reinsurers.
The appointment follows Fitzgerald’s previous roles across the industry, including more than 30 years of experience at World Insurance Associates, where he served as President of Retail Business.
Before that, he held senior positions at QBE North America and Aon, including leading Aon Risk Solutions and U.S. retail operations, and he said the role fits what he wanted after more than 30 years in the business.
