UK concerts drew a record 25 million music tourists in 2025

UK Music estimated total spending from music tourists at 11.2 billion pounds, with overseas visitors rising 27% to 2.1 million.

Guardian Economics reports that UK gigs last year drew a record 25 million “music tourists,” supported by major acts including Oasis, Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, and Beyoncé.

The industry body UK Music estimates the spending total at 11.2 billion pounds across the UK economy, with 85% of attendees classed as domestic tourists who traveled more than three times the average commute to reach events.

Overseas music tourist numbers rose 27% to 2.1 million, compared with 1.6 million in 2024, according to the report. Several major artists played only in the UK, including Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, and Oasis, which the report said helped lift international travel.

UK Music also highlighted Oasis’ reunion tour, where the band played for the first time in 15 years, despite controversy over ticket pricing. It said the five Heaton Park shows in Manchester boosted music tourist spending in the north-west by 16% year on year to 1.4 billion pounds.
