Gallagher Re appoints Michael Cipolla as VP for Facultative

Cipolla joins from Everest, where he most recently served as Casualty Chief Underwriting Officer of Everest Evolution, the U.S. wholesale brand for Everest Insurance.

Gallagher Re, the global reinsurance broking and advisory business of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., announced the appointment of Michael Cipolla as Vice President for Facultative.

In the new role, Cipolla will work alongside underwriters and colleagues, with the firm saying the position is focused on building a team culture and delivering solutions to clients.

Gallagher Re said Cipolla joins from Everest, where he held several senior leadership roles and most recently served as Casualty Chief Underwriting Officer of Everest Evolution, Everest Insurance’s dedicated U.S. wholesale brand.

Before Everest, Cipolla held roles at Swiss Re and Lexington Insurance Company, according to the company announcement.
