Cornerstone Capital Bank adds Daryl Wizelman to expand retail mortgage lending
The hire brings more than 35 years of mortgage banking experience, and Cornerstone said the move supports its focus on operational resources and a people-first service culture.
HousingWire reports that Cornerstone Capital Bank and its mortgage lending unit, Cornerstone Home Lending, have added veteran mortgage executive Daryl Wizelman and the Wizelman Team to support growth in their retail lending operations.
Cornerstone said the decision was driven by what it described as a cultural fit, leadership experience, and a service-focused approach, positioning the team to leverage Cornerstone’s operational resources and technology investments.
Wizelman joins after more than 35 years in mortgage banking and financial services, including serving as president and owner of United Pacific Mortgage for more than 17 years. He previously held roles at Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp., and was divisional vice president for CrossCountry Mortgage, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Cornerstone also highlighted that technology remains a key initiative, but is not prioritized above borrower service and the human relationship, citing comments from Wizelman and leadership at the company. The Wizelman Team includes production associate Lisa Guillo, loan processing manager Robert Curiel, and loan officers Jason Wizelman, Randy Wagner, Sherrie Clark, and Rick Wilson.
